Luas Broombridge (Luas D)

Phase 5: Construction

At this phase in developing the Luas Line D project, RPA contractors and sub-contractors will begin to physically construct the approved light rail line based on the detailed design drawings.  Preparatory works including realignment of utilities, track foundations, stop construction and landscaping will begin. RPA will ensure all construction work for the building of the line will be completed in a safe way and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Railway Order granted by An Bord Pleanála.

Construction works on Luas Line D will be carried-out based on the design drawings for the alignment and on an agreed schedule between RPA and its contractors. When construction of the line is complete including all track and finishing works, RPA will begin pre-operational testing of Luas Line D with trams, in advance of full passenger services commencing.
