Luas Citywest will link with the existing Luas Red Line (Tallaght to Connolly) east of the Cookstown Roundabout between the existing Belgard and Cookstown Stops.
The selected route will then run through a greenfield area past the Fettercairn Youth and Horse Project before crossing at-grade the recently constructed junction of the Outer Ring Road with the Embankment Road extension near Brookfield. Form here the route will continue separate from traffic serving Citywest Business Campus. From here Luas Citywest will cross the Citywest Road/N82 at grade and and then follows Fortunestown Lane to its junction with Garter Lane terminating at Saggart Stop close to Citywest Hotel and Saggart Village.
A total of five new stops on Luas Citywest Line A1 at Fettercairn, Cheeverstown, Citywest Campus, Fortunestown and Saggart with future possible Park & Ride Facility Cheeverstown Stop. The existing Luas Red Line Belgard Stop will be reconfigured as part of the development of Luas Citywest.
The line will terminate at Saggart Stop.
