RPA seeks to communicate with the public and directly to individuals in a clear, simple and concise way through Newsletters, Media (Newspapers, TV & Radio), Open Days and through www.rpa.ie.
RPA welcomes constructive input from the general public on all projects at the various phases of development.
During the identification of Route Options the public are invited to tell RPA which route, combination of route options or alternative route they feel would best serve their community as a whole.
Once design is complete RPA applies to An Bord Pleanala for a Railway Order. RPA makes this Railway Order application available to the public via local authorities, our website and in our offices. An Bord Pleanala considers the public's view when considering the Railway Order Application from RPA.
During the construction phase of all projects RPA continues to consult with individuals, groups, communities, businesses and local authorities on an on-going basis to ensure best practice in this area.
At any stage of a project being developed by RPA any member of the public has the right to use Freedom of Information legislation to access information.
