Transport 21 – RPA Projects

As part of the Government’s Transport 21 initiative, RPA is responsible for ensuring the provision of light rail and metro infrastructure for two Metro & seven Luas Projects.

RPA’s Transport 21 Projects are:

Metro

Metro Airport / Swords - Metro North - St. Stephen’s Green via Dublin Airport to Swords/Belinstown

Metro Orbital - Metro West - Tallaght via Liffey Valley and Blanchardstown to Dardistown

Luas

Luas Citywest (Line A1) – Red Line Extension Belgard to Citywest/Saggart

Luas Cherrywood (Line B1) – Green Line Extension Sandyford to Cherrywood/Bride’s Glen

Luas Bray/Fassaroe (Line B2) – Green Line Extension from Bride’s Glen To Bray Area

Luas City Broombridge (Line BXD) – Green Line Extension – City Centre Link extending to Broombridge

Luas Docklands (Line C1) – Red Line Extension - Busáras to The Point - This project is now complete.

Luas Lucan (Line F1) - New Luas Line Lucan to City Centre which will run from Lucan to Blackhorse before connecting to the existing Luas Red Line

Luas Liberties (Line F2) - New Luas Line Lucan to City Centre which will run from the existing Red Luas Line at St. James’s Street to College Green.
